The Outing (from the RM).

From many sources I gather the Outing was another success.  Whilst admittedly I do a small bit of the work I must stress that the Outing is very much a team effort,  Jenny, Liz, Lawrence and myself undertake the reconnaissance visit where we check out parking, awkward corners, and feeding stations. Lawrence, with his coaching experience and his computer, works out the detailed timetable from my rough notes. Liz and Lawrence, are each responsible for the booking and hiring of their respective minibuses and of course the actual driving on the day.  This year as I was 'confined to barracks' Tony Crawford gallantly undertook to be in charge of the Ringing.  Also there is our friend Roy Wiles who rose early and turned in late in order that we could have Hethersett Church Car Park as the final 'pick up' point.  I am sure that all who went on the outing will join me in thanking these other members of the team for their efforts in making the outing a success.

Finally thank you all for the card that you all signed.

Best wishes to you all.

Annual Branch Meeting at Pakefield on Saturday 3rd December 2011
We had a notable annual meeting when 51 signed the attendance book.  We welcomed 10 new members to the Branch and 3 belfry ratifications prior to peals.  We think that this number of new members must be a record.   We were made very welcome by the local ringers and their vicar.
